Art museums and galleries never fail to make me ponder, laugh, gasp and question my existence on earth. And it is modern and contemporary art that really captivates me and reels me in. The more outrageous, the better. Some are ridiculously genius, and some are just plain ridiculous.

For me, the real pull is not just about the pieces being displayed, but the creativity and courage of their creators to push boundaries, to go beyond, to provoke, to anger, to engage, to explore the unknown, to be different, to take risks, and to confront their fears.

Also, when you are stuck exploring the city with someone, especially when he's a Londoner who thinks that there is nothing to do in London (I gasped and then rolled my eyes), visit an art gallery. Even if they don’t appreciate art the way you do, they will always have something to say, always. That’s enough to get the day started, don't you think?
